What an editorial eye actually means

It is not a pose, a preset or a borrowed magazine treatment. It is a way of paying attention.

The word editorial is everywhere in wedding photography. At its best, it describes intention: the ability to see shape, light and relationship while a real day continues moving.

We do not think it means turning a wedding into a fashion production. The strongest photographs still carry the particular nervousness, humour and closeness of the people inside them. Composition gives those feelings somewhere to live.

Preparation matters because it makes spontaneity easier. We study the architecture, understand the timeline, learn which relationships matter and notice where the light changes.
